Lamentations 3:22-24 (Prayer for Everyday)
This project is the long awaited follow-up to The EXTRA's debut "116 Poems." Designed for Christian/conscious Hip-Hop enjoyment, the content included will fill you with hope, joy, nostalgia and more. With as many righteous/woke words as your heart desires, you can find that it doesn’t fit into the traditional, secular Hip-Hop space.
Topics range from suicide ("I'llGoToSleepTomorrow") to self-motivation ("MyNicknameIsGravy"). Recently, Spotify playlisters have been adding EXTRA's music to their playlists. The music industry is starting to take notice. Industry insiders, national and even international, are coming to see EXTRA has something for the future of popular music.
The project is a good place to talk about the Lord Jesus Christ, inner-city street life, black leadership and it also shows off EXTRA'S freestyle lyrical ability. Potentially leading him to a spot amongst the who's who in Hip-Hop's elite. A feat that EXTRA has sought for a long time now. As EXTRA says in one of his songs: "I’ve been at this for a while now, I wanna rhyme now, I don't wanna crime now, I wanna shine NOW!"
The mission statement is simply: My name is The EXTRA, and I make music. The meaning behind the title "...then Corporate America began swallowing whole..." is that after this the music industry is going to take notice! Look out world!!!
Coming soon!!! "...then Corporate America began swallowing whole..." Volume Two
The first single "My Mind" is available now on Soundcloud, Youtube and Spotify!!!
